Today we have the ‘Best Friends’ card which tells us that “True friends stick together, no matter what.” This card means that when you feel your relationships are being tested with the people you are closest to, don’t throw them away. You’re allowed to argue with your friends, it’s all part of that relationship, it’s sometimes necessary. But know that after that blow out you can still go back to them and they will be there for you no matter what. Friendship means they will fight for you and whatever differences you have they still have your back.
It also calls us to reflect upon our friendships that are not completely healthy for us, those people we see as friends but could not be as good as we think. Be wary of attention seekers and clingy friends who take up too much of your time, while giving nothing back to you. The one sided friendships are those to be reduced and replaced with relationships that are meaningful and fulfilling.
Remember your friends and don’t let unworthy people take up too much of your time.
